Get from an empty account to a first export. Most setups take about 15 minutes once you have a feed URL.

  • A CatalogRelay account (register)
  • A supplier feed (CSV, XML, or JSON) via URL, FTP/SFTP, API, or a public spreadsheet link
  • Optional: store credentials for Shopify, Magento 2, or WooCommerce — or use CSV / XML download (stable URL on all plans)
  1. Go to SuppliersAdd supplier
  2. Enter a name (e.g. “Acme Wholesale”) and optional notes
  3. Save
  1. On the supplier page, click Add data source
  2. Pick a connection tab:
    • HTTP / File — public or Basic/Bearer-protected URL
    • FTP / SFTP — file on a server
    • Paginated API — page-based REST feed
    • Spreadsheet — Google Sheets or Excel / OneDrive share link (Anyone with the link → Viewer)
  3. Save — CatalogRelay analyzes the feed structure

You do not pick an import cron in the UI. On paid plans, imports run automatically before export cycles. On Free, use Schedule import (manual only).

When analysis finishes with Mapping required:

  1. Map at least SKU (required)
  2. Map name, price, stock, brand, category, GTIN, and any other columns you need
  3. Modes: Map column, Fixed value, or Map values (availability uses Rules instead of Map values: set a default, then add Or/And exceptions)
  4. Save — CatalogRelay applies the mapping and queues the first import

Products appear under Products when the import completes.

  1. Go to Pricing RulesAdd rule
  2. Enter a label, optional supplier / price-band conditions
  3. Set a price formula, e.g. {attr:price} * 1.3 for 30% cost-plus
  4. Set priority (higher number is evaluated first; first match wins)
  5. Preview with the sample price, then save

See Pricing rules and Formulas.

  1. Go to Export ProfilesAdd export profile
  2. Name the profile and choose an auto-sync schedule (or Manual)
  3. Under Where to send, pick:
    • CSV (download only) or XML (download only) — stable feed download URL
    • Shopify / Magento 2 / WooCommerce — enter credentials and use Test connection
  4. Optionally configure multi-supplier sourcing and absent-product handling
  5. Save, then open the profile to set Filters, Field Mappings, and Guard Rules
  6. Choose Schedule export from More actions

Check Run History for exported / skipped / blocked counts.

Typical loop:

  1. Data sources import (automatic on paid plans, or Schedule import on Free)
  2. Catalogue stays normalized via your mappings
  3. Pricing rules compute sell prices at export time
  4. Export profiles push to the store or refresh the download URL
